Rally

Another finally, after a long and seemed-forever 10 days, I met my boyfriend at the eleventh day from out last meeting, that was yesterday. I'd been missing him sooooo much I felt like pinching his cheek til it goes red hahaha. And so, we--or me myself, actually-- decided to watch movies in a day. Well all we watched were just Inkheart and Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

Firstly, Inkheart.

The string that pulls me into this film is that I've read the novel, I'd mentioned it in my previous post. Unluckily, I lost my interest to this film since it was well, boring. Maybe it's because I'd read the novel before so I knew the exact story which was shortened and manipulated there, from hundreds of pages into a series of moving pictures that lasted for about 1 hour and 50 minutes. And the sound effect isn't good. It's bad, honestly.

Overall, this movie scores 3 out of 10.

Next, Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

Just like all sequel of Ice Age, this one is hilarious, and ridiculous, I should say. While Manny and Elly are going to have their baby--Manny became a freak father-going-to-be who ran through hills and valley everytime Elly said the baby's moving, Diego keeps thinking that he doesn't fit anymore in that friendly environment, thinking that it kills his natural instinct of hunting preys and sort of. He decided to leave. On the other hand, Sid the Sloth accidentally fell into a hole in the ice and found three eggs, which were, obviously, Dinosaur's eggs. He kept them instead of leave them there, disobeying Manny's advice. Things turned out upside down there, an angry Dinosaur raged out of the hole searching for her eggs which had turned into three baby dinosaurs. The three babies had believed that Sid was their Mom, and so the Momma Dinosaur bring all the four back into her nest under the ice, in the area where dinosaurs still exist. From here on, Diego (joined the team back from seeing Sid helpless), Manny, the pregnant Elly, the possum twins went under the ice, searching for Sid. New characters here were Buck, a weasel which acted as the rescue team's guide, and Rudy, the evil dino, which was their most dangerous enemy.

This film ranks 9 of 10. Go watch this film folks!

And I'm going to tell one stupid thing I did experience yesterday. I fell asleep while my boyfriend was riding me home on his motorcycle. Am I not stupid? I might fall off or something! Thank God I stayed alive and still.

Oh quick update, I changed a bit of my blog template. I didn't say I like it, I just chose colors randomly out of boredom that I barely notice.

Recently

Ooooooh I really really into my novels these days (although I am disturbed by the tests teacher given me. I bought two novels recently, one titled "Kau Memanggilku Malaikat", and I can't say more than greaaaaaaaaaaat. It is great, I love the way Mr Arswendo show me an unusual point of view, an angel's mind. It is really worth buying, and it's not expensive, only 37 thousand rupiahs. Cheap, right?

The other novel I bought is another novel by Cornelia Funke, Drachenreiter (baca: drahenraiter) -- Penunggang Naga. I haven't finish reading it yet, it's a fantasy one, I buy it to spill some ice to my brain and relieve my nerves of getting stress.

And oh talking about stress, I don't know what happen to me but my hair just keeps falling and falling! I'm so afraid of getting bald, really. I'm not taking it too much, but it really is that bad. If you touch the upper part of my head, you'll only get a touch of thin hair, you may even touch my scalp. Oh I need to get my hair healthy again, somebody help meeeeeeeee

Books

I bought two novels quite recently, the first one titled Tintenherz and the other one is The 5 People You Meet In Heaven.

First, Tintenherz.


It's a fantasy novel, and, as you can see from the language used in the title, it's written by a Germany, Cornelia Funke. The story is about a man nicknamed Mo who can pull out fictional characters from a book by simply reading it out loud. Things become complicated when he pulled out two antagonist character from a book called Tintenherz. Those two antagonist characters, Capricorn and Basta, asked Mo to pull out other characters or beneficial things like money out of the book, to help them take control of the world. But all actions make reactions. When fictional things are being pulled out of the book, real humans or creatures are like being sucked into the book. Things become even more complicated when his only daughter can also do that.
Tintenherz is the first book of the trilogy, so there are still other two books, Tintenblut and Tintentod, which I haven't read. Tintenherz had been filmed, starring Brendan Fraser.

The 5 People You Meet in Heaven.

This book is written by Mitch Albom. I can't find any other suitable words for this book. It's perfect. It's like teaching me some morals, but still interesting in many ways. Actually, my liking to this book grows even more bigger because the main character is dead. haha

Yes is a word consists of three letters, the 25th letter of the alphabet, the 5th, and the 19th. If it is translated to Indonesian, we have another word consists of three letters also, "iya", a combination of the 9th letter, the 25th, and the very first letter.

What was this all about yes? It's about a film I recently saw actually. Starring Jim Carrey, the movie creates a lot of laughter. I saw the movie twice, with almost the same people but with many others at the second time.

Carl (Jim Carrey) works in a bank. His duty is whether approving the customer's applicant about borrowing money from the bank or declining it. His life is such a boring one, with he saying no to almost everything other people asked him. It's like living alone, too lazy to go outside. He even forgot to attend his friend's engagement party. Then he met a friend of his who persuades him to go to a "Yes" seminar, which finally attended by him, with things going worse.
Then he starts saying yes to whatever he asked to, and his life turns completely different. He gets promotion, he gets his friends' trust back, many other good things, and he finally finds a love of his life (replacing his wife). Things become complicated when the girl knows that Carl just has to say yes to everything, which means she doesn't know whether Carl has loved her because he really does or not. Accusing him of lying, she left.

The rest of the story, I guess you should watch the movie yourself, folks. haha see ya

Holiday?

grrrr rasanya kayak nggak libur, gara-gara ada satu kegiatan sekolah bernama TeSIS yang dilaksanakan di waktu liburan.

rasanya nyebelin banget bangetan karena beberapa waktu tersita untuk mikirin kegiatan nggak jelas itu. katanya sih pas di sananya bakal seru, semoga aja deh.

kenapa harus dipikirin? karena sampai hari ini, yang notabene udah H-3, kelompok gue masih nggak berstruktur, bahkan ketua kelompoknya aja nggak jelas siapa haha.

akhirnya karena merasa was-was dan khawatir tugas kelompok nggak bakal selesai, gue mencoba menggarap latar belakang, yang kalo liat di contoh-contoh yang ada di perpus panjangnya bangeeeeeet. then I feel like I've underestimated it, gue bilang latar belakang itu cuma muter-muter omongan doang. ternyata nggak segampang itu, ato emang gampang tapi gue yang kekurangan kemampuan bahasa? hahaha

jadi sampai hari ini, gue nyaris ga kemana-mana, cuma sedikit pergi ke sekolah temen gue yang lagi ngadain acara kompetisi gitu, dan nonton beberapa film yang kurang pas di mata hahaha. hmm the other boleyn girl nggak seburuk itu, cukup menarik kecuali di bagian Jim Sturgess dipenggal (grrrr he's so good-looking) dan di bagian-bagian tertentu itu (yang sebaiknya tidak dideskripsikan).
the contract alurnya lamaaaaaa banget dan punya review yang menipu di cineplex, katanya thriller, tapi ternyata lebih ke action yang bikin ngantuk. gue jadi ga ngerti jalan ceritanya haha dan temen gue malah tidur.
quarantine. objektifnya sih seru-seru aja, mirip resident evil yang zombie-zombie itu, tapi kondisi di film ini cuma dalam satu gedung yang terjangkit virus rabies. karena nggak baca review film ini, gue pikir cuma setan-setanan tapi ternyata thriller, yang tidak menyenangkan. terutama pas orang-orang yang terjangkit mulai menggigit-gigit orang lain, dengan kata lain menyebar virus itu. pemerintah yang mengetahui keberadaan virus di gedung itu before hand, menyegel gedung itu dan menempatkan FBI (kayaknya, gue lupa itu FBI apa bukan haha) supaya ga ada yang keluar dari gedung itu. tapi di dalam gedung waktu itu udah ada beberapa orang yang terjangkit, dan lebih banyak yang masih sehat. mereka merasa dikurung dan berusaha keluar, tapi yang berusaha nyobek segel dan lompat dari jendela langsung ditembak sama FBInya. tim CDC (central disease control or something) dikirim buat ngecek virus itu, yang notabene harus pake sampel sel otak, jadi dibor gitu deh hueeeeeks. singkatnya virus mulai menyebar dan ada adegan dimana mereka saling menuduh siapa yang udah terjangkit, dan terjadi kejadian yang bikin syok, udah agak lupa sih. pake bahasa indonesia aja yaa biar gampang. intinya kyk gini deh. oiya fyi, disini ada kondisi anak kecil sakit, punya anjing bernama max yang dibawa ayahnya ke dokter dan nggak balik-balik, jadi anak itu digendong sama ibunya.
Man1: darimana sih asal virus itu?
CDC man: saya nggak tau apa-apa
Police: (marah2) lo pasti tau sesuatu kenapa kita sampe dikurung gini. cepetan ngomong, sialan! (mau mukul gitu)
CDC man: tadi ada seorang pria membawa anjing ke dokter hewan, dan anjing itu menggigiti hewan-hewan yang ada di klinik itu dan semua hewan itu mulai berperilaku aneh
Reporter: apakah anjing itu.. (melirik anak kecil yang digendong) bernama Max?
CDC man: yes.
(semua langsung memandang ibu yang menggendong anak kecil itu)
The mother: tidak, dia cuma kena bronkitis (mengacu pada anaknya)
Other characters: ayolah, dia harus diperiksa
The mother: (nggak mau anaknya dibor) nggak, sungguh, dia cuma sakit biasa
Other characters: (memaksa-maksa ibu itu, lupa omongannya apa)
The mother: (keukeuh anaknya ga kena virus itu)
dan tiba-tiba si anak yang digendong dan dilindungi si ibu itu menggigit si ibu aw aw aw aw
agak frightening bgt yaaaaaaa
singkatnya, tinggal 2 orang yang tersisa, yaitu si reporter dan cameraman, mereka kabur sampe ke loteng gitu karena semua orang udah terjangkit. dengan cahaya dari camera, si cameraman ngecek attic gedung itu daaaaan ada sosok makhluk manusia yang kayaknya udah bertransformasi jadi hewan, nasty disgusting gimanaaaa gt jadi deh bangunan itu isinya gituan semua haha. karena ga kuat nonton film ginian, gue lebih sering nutup mata daripada buka haha.

karena blog sebelumnya yang ada di fs udah ga berbentuk, aneh, dan bikin males aja karena fs nya juga udah ga diurus hahaha

karena ending sound nya sama semua dan menarik, jadi yaudah deh hahaha

by the way, gue baru baca the virgin suicides. daaaaan novel itu kurang bagus dibaca orang2 yg kalo ngebaca langsung membayangkan. kenapa? karena yaaa agak bahaya aja, bukan konsumsi bulan puasa deh haha (emang kalo bukan bulan puasa jadi boleh? hahaha)
bercerita tentang lima gadis yang bunuh diri karena terkekang oleh orang tuanya yang aneh dan kolot. yang bikin heran, kenapa sampe pada milih mati yaaa padahal kan bisa aja kabur. ckck.
